A CD clock is a great craft project that can be used to recycle old CDs. This project can turn something old and no longer used into a fun clock that you can give as a gift or keep for yourself. Follow these steps to make your old CDs into clocks.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • CD
  • Acrylic Paint or Paint Markers
  • Stickers
  • Clockworks or other clock kit
  • Washer
  1. Step 1

Wipe off the CD with a damp cloth and let it dry. Don't worry if there are scratches, those will be covered up by the paint.

  2. Step 2

Paint the side of the CD that will serve as the clockface with acrylic paints or paint markers with an overall base color.

  3. Step 3

Use your paint or paint markers to make designs. You also can decorate your clock with colorful stickers.

  4. Step 4

Add the clock numbers onto your CD clock. Instead of painting the clock numbers on the CD, you can buy clock numbers that can be glued onto the surface.

  5. Step 5

Assemble your clockworks using the directions enclosed in the package. Put the washer on the top of your CD and insert the clockworks using this washer. Your timepiece is ready.
