So your Sim finally decided to take the plunge and adopt a feline companion for his household. To give the kitty the life she deserves, your Sim must care of her. This means properly preparing your Sim's home for a cat and keeping her needs in mind.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a food dish and put it in a convenient location for your cat. To fill the dish, click on it and select "Fill Bowl." It costs ten Simoleons per fill-up. Clean the bowl when the option to clean it becomes available. Your cat will not eat from a dirty bowl.

  2. Step 2

Buy a litter box and put it in a suitable spot. Keep the box clean or your cat may decide to do his business on the floor. Click on the box, and then click "Clean."

  3. Step 3

Provide your cat with some forms of entertainment. Get a scratching post for your cat (this also will save your furniture). Purchase cat toys and place them at various locations around your Sim's house.

  4. Step 4

Give the cat attention. How much social interaction she needs is dependent on her personality. To determine this, look at her personality on her status bar. If the horizontal bar leans more toward friendly than independent, your kitty will need extra love and attention. The "Give Love" and "Play" interactions will satisfy your cat's needs.
