You're committed to a working lunch and you've brought your laptop along. It's on the chair next to you. After a few bites, you pull the laptop over and there it is--a pink, gooey blob of gum stuck under the table that adhered to that expensive leather case. Have no fear, you can clean the gum from your leather laptop case. Here are some different methods to try.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ice cube
  • Peanut butter
  • Peanut oil
  • WD-40
  • Baby oil
  1. Step 1

Grab an ice cube from your drink and rub it over the gum. The cold will cause the gum to harden and you should be able to scrape most of it off with a blunt knife such as a butter knife.

  2. Step 2

Wait until you get home and get a jar of peanut butter. Rub a little peanut butter over the gum and it should remove the gum from your leather laptop case. If the cupboard is lacking peanut butter and you have some peanut oil, try that.

  3. Step 3

Spray some WD-40 on a cloth and wipe the case. The oil in the WD-40 will loosen the gum.

  4. Step 4

Use some baby oil for gum removal. The petroleum base works on the gum and leaves a nice smell behind. It can even be applied to residual stains left on the laptop case as well as giving the case a shine.

  5. Step 5

Buy some Goo Gone and apply it to the gum.
