If you love football, then you live for the Super Bowl. Every year the biggest game on the gridiron matches the best team from the AFC and the NFC in a clash of the titans that produces a Champion. Well, forget about having chips and dip at your friend's house, here is a game plan for how to attend the Super Bowl in person.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Go to nfl.com and enter the random drawing to purchase a pair of tickets to the Super Bowl. Every year, the NFL gives 500 people the chance to buy tickets to the Super Bowl. Just submit your request between February 1 and June 1 of the preceding year and you will be entered. The specifics are on the site. Your chances may be slim, but it's probably the cheapest way you'll attend the Super Bowl without working there.
Step2
Purchase tickets from a Ticket Broker. Even though "scalping" is supposed to be illegal, ticket brokers have popped up all over the web. However, you will pay top dollar. There are also swap sites like stubhub.com where people with tickets can sell them directly to you.
Step3
Get close with your friends and family. Aside from the NFL having their lottery for the shot to purchase tickets, the teams playing in the Super Bowl also get a certain amount of seats. But it is based on people who have been season ticket holders. Seniority is a big deal here, so find the friend who's had tickets passed down from generation to generation. Then offer him a lot of money and do some big favors for him around the house.
Step4
Swing by auction sites. Remember you are in a bidding situation, so the sky is the limit on price. Truth be told, if you are willing to pay a couple thousand bucks, you're better off just going to a broker and saving yourself the headache. But if you love the thrill of trying to outbid the next guy, then by all means go for it. Just be sure that you are buying from someone with a strong seller rating.
Step5
Work the Super Bowl. Okay, this may not be ideal, but at least you are there. And depending on what job you have, you might have quite a view of the game. This option is best for the person who works in the city where the Super Bowl is being played. That's usually decided about 18 months ahead of time. So submit your resume and see if they are hiring additional hands for the big game.
Step6
Get some football credentials. The press corps is huge at the biggest game in football. If you work for a company that is covering the event, offer to help on the day. You may be stuck doing the grunt work like holding a lighting module for a photographer, but who cares, you'll be inside.
Step7
Work for the corporate sponsors. They spend a lot of money, so in return they get a lot of tickets. So, if you work for one of these companies, start sniffing around about who may get some tickets handed down to them. Then slyly suck-up, blatantly pay them or offer to do some nice favors to make their lives easier.
