If all you can remember from a movie is a great quote, rather than the title or names of any actors, you might worry that you’ll never be able to find the movie in order to see it again. The frustration of not being able to remember a movie’s title can nag at you for days. Fortunately, there is a way to track down that flick.

Find That Movie

Go to the Internet Movie Database at imdb.com. This database provides lists of memorable quotes for each movie entry. Type the quote you remember from the movie into the website's search box. For example, you might remember the line, “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

Browse the search results for a movie title that rings a bell. You will find the movie you are looking for quickly. If you typed in the example quote from step one, you’ll see the search result, “When Harry Met Sally (1989) – Memorable quotes." Now you’ve found the movie’s title.

Click on the movie title to read more memorable quotes from the movie, or to find the movie’s complete cast listing. To purchase the movie, go to an online DVD store and search for the movie by its title.
