Step 1
Prepare your photo and save it to your desktop or another accessible spot on your computer. If you take it from your digital camera, a jump drive or another digital source, select "Save As" and choose the destination. If the photo is a hard copy, scan it before saving it. You can use PhotoShop or another photo-editing program to add special effects or to fix imperfections on the photo.
-
Step 2
Choose a website, such as PhotoStamps, Zazzle or Your Stamps, to create your photo stamps. They vary in price, options and order size, but all follow the same general concept. Check that the stamps you're ordering are approved by the U.S. Postal Service. Most approved websites carry the USPS logo in a visible place.
-
Step 3
Upload your photo. It might take up to two minutes, depending on your Internet connection speed.
-
Step 4
Adjust your photo or add options. Some sites let you adjust brightness, contrast and size. You also can add words or borders. Most provide a preview so that you can see your adjustments as you make them.
-
Step 5
Add your selection to your shopping cart and select a quantity. Complete your purchase following the instructions provided by the website.
