Having motivation means that you not only have the desire to achieve something but you also have the willingness to work hard to reach a goal. Follow these steps if you want to boost your motivation levels.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Determine your motivation style. Some people are motivated because they desire for something to happen and others are motivated because they want to avoid something undesirable. Understanding what motivates you will help you to boost your motivation levels.
Step2
Recognize that having low motivation levels is directly related to having low self esteem. If you have low self esteem, work to increase it. One way to do this is to think of all that you have accomplished so far.
Step3
Make a list of why you want to achieve your specific goal, include pictures or symbols that illustrate your goal. Look at your list whenever you feel discouraged or want to give up. Sometimes in the stress of every day life we forget the reasons why we are working so hard.
Step4
Eliminate stress. Excess stress exhausts your mind and body. It's very difficult to have high motivation levels if you're exhausted. If you find a healthy way to relieve your stress, you will increase your motivation easier.
Step5
Read inspirational stories. Sometimes it helps to learn how other people overcame adversity to fulfill their dreams.
Step6
Enlist the help of professionals. Many people find the help they need to boost their motivation through hypnosis. Hypnosis is an excellent way to improve self esteem as well as motivation.
