Step4
Have strong business sense, math skills and the ability to think numbers and bottom lines. Know the demographics and statistics of your target audiences.
Step5
Work long hours in a high stress environment and be able to function efficiently and continue to enjoy the job. Gather data about the viewers/target audience and their habits and evaluate content and programming to match the advertisements with an outlet in newspapers, magazines, radio, television and Internet.
Step6
Know the latest technology and culture. Keep up with the latest trends, especially in tech and teenage culture, to gain a greater understanding of the target audiences and find new ways to advertise. The more you know, the more successful you can become in your career.
