The hotter a timeshare is, the more likely you'll be able to resell your timeshare if you decide not to keep it. Plus, top-selling timeshares are popular for a reason--they offer great vacation experiences. Here's how to find the top timeshare resorts.

1
Look at timeshares in the most popular vacation spots. The most popular destinations for timeshares are Orlando and Florida coastal cities, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Colorado, Utah, Las Vegas, southern California, Hawaii, Cancun and Puerta Vallarta in Mexico, Canary Islands and the southern coast of Spain and South Africa. If the timeshare's located in one of these places, that's a good start.

Check out the Timeshare User's Group's ranking of the top 10 timeshares in the world by going to Timeshare-Users-Group (see Resources below). This organization, also called TUG, releases new rankings annually. Disney Old Key West Resort, Four Season's Resort Club Aviara and Royal Sands in Cancun were among the most recent winners.

Stick with a brand name timeshare company with a wide variety of properties, like Disney, Marriott, Hilton or RCI. These timeshares are very popular because you can find many other resorts on their networks.
