I really want to become a sports journalist, I'm only in middle school but I think God will open that door. I really want to see if I can get a job in Miami after college. I've played 6 years of basketball and I'm a great writer and i combine both of these subjects very well! I'm writing a book called Basketball For The Middle School Athlete. lol. think it'll come out good.

You don't need a master's degree to become a sports journalists. Most of them have bachelor's degrees and tons of sports writing experience. I have worked as a journalist for 12 years (two years in sports journalism) without a master's degree. I have a bachelor's degree. Now, if you want to serve as a newspaper advisor or teach journalism at a college or university, you will need that post-graduate degree.
