Things You'll Need:
- Moisturizer
- Water
- Razor
- Shaving cream
-
Step 1
Buy shaving cream and a razor from the drugstore. Most shaving creams are comparable, but choose a quality razor with multiple blades, at least one moisturizing strip and an easy to hold handle. Cheap razors are more likely to nick your skin as you shave.
-
Step 2
Sit or stand in a warm bath or shower for several minutes before beginning to shave. The warm water will help soften and loosen the hair on your legs.
-
Step 3
Wash your legs with soap before you begin shaving. This will help prevent any infection if you happen to cut yourself while shaving.
-
Step 4
Prop one leg up on the side of the bathtub or in another area so that you can reach your leg more easily. Try to keep your leg out of the water as you shave.
-
Step 5
Squeeze shaving cream into your hand and lather the area on your leg you want to shave. The more hair you remove the sexier your leg will look, so don't stop until you reach the hip.
-
Step 6
Position the razor flat against your skin at the bottom of your leg. Pull slowly up towards your knee, maintaining even pressure and contact throughout the stroke. You don't need to press the razor down very hard, as the blades will do most of the work.
-
Step 7
Rinse hair and shaving cream off the blade when you finish each stroke.
-
Step 8
Continue to shave the entire leg in the same direction. Shaving against hair growth will give you the closest shave--the goal for sexy looking legs.
-
Step 9
Rinse leg when finished shaving.
-
Step 10
Repeat steps 3 through 9 for the opposite leg.
-
Step 11
Pat legs dry with a clean towel. Skin is sensitive after shaving, and rubbing them with the towel can cause irritation.
-
Step 12
Moisturize legs with a good lotion or cream after shaving. Shaving exfoliates the skin and causes dryness. The best looking legs have healthy, moist skin.
