Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Speak with fellow players about character selection before participating in a multiplayer battle. You should avoid the use of the same character by four players to create parity and better competition.
Step2
Prepare to follow a pre-set order for characters when playing a cooperative game with friends and fellow gamers. The first controller is assigned Master Chief, the second controller is assigned The Arbiter and the other two controllers are given Elite soldiers.
Step3
Look at the statistics and characteristics that make a certain character more effective against certain enemies. Each character is balanced to avoid superiority by one character type over every enemy within the Halo 3 universe.
Step4
Spend time researching cheats and searching for Easter eggs (hidden features) within Halo 3 game play to activate new characters. This approach to selecting a character is ideal once you complete the game and need a new challenge.
Step5
Run characters like the UNSC soldiers and Brutes through single-player levels to gain familiarity with their skills. You can eliminate characters to pick in future Halo 3 campaigns by assessing your comfort with each usable character.
Step6
Play an unbalanced cooperative version of Halo 3 with your friends to get a feel for characters. A group of two or three Halo 3 players allows for greater flexibility in the rigid character assignment used for cooperative playing. This step is important if you feel stuck playing the same characters in every cooperative game.
Step7
Complete single-player levels on higher difficulty settings to unlock new characters for Halo 3. You can pick levels that you have completed previously at lower settings to engage special combinations and explore hidden areas for triggers that activate a new character. You are able to utilize these found characters in future campaigns once you complete the level.
