Things You'll Need:
- DVD or VHS player
-
Step 1
Evaluate the native language of your viewing audience. Select the US version of "Digimon: The Movie" for kids and young adults who speak English. This version of the movie features English-language performances by a mostly American and British cast.
-
Step 2
Take into account the type of television on which you will watch the Digimon movies. The U.S. version of "Digimon: The Movie" is available in both full screen and wide-screen versions on DVD, so select the format that best matches your TV screen.
-
Step 3
Choose the best media format for your home. VHS copies of "Digimon: The Movie" can be purchased less expensively than DVD editions of the film. However, VHS copies lack the video and audio quality you get with other formats.
-
Step 4
Opt for the DVD format of the US version of "Digimon: The Movie" to be able to choose your sound format. You can select English Dolby Digital 5.1 Sound or English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround from the setup menu.
-
Step 5
Select the three original Japanese Digimon films to get all of the original scenes. Approximately 40 minutes of original scenes were deleted when these films were combined to make the U.S. version of the films.
-
Step 6
Select the Japanese-movie version of "Digimon Adventure" to see the first real Digimon movie.
-
Step 7
Choose the second Japanese release, "Digimon: Our War Game!," to see a Digimon movie that mirrors the American movie "War Games."
-
Step 8
Watch the final of the three Japanese movies, "Digimon: Hurricane Landing," to see story lines deleted from the US version of the movie.
