Text Twist and Super Text Twist were developed for computerized gaming by GameHouse. They involve spelling words from a certain set of letters. Text Twist uses six letters and Super Text Twist uses seven letters. A blank list is provided to let the player know how many words can be made and how many letters are used for those words.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flash player
  • Pop-ups enabled for web browser
  1. Step 1

Visit the word games section of the Yahoo! Games website (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Scroll down the page until you find the Text Twist game, and click its name or icon to proceed.

  3. Step 3

Choose the version of the game you want to play, preferably the "Play Web Game" version. You can also download the game to play at any time.

  4. Step 4

Mouse over the game box and click the "Click to Start!" box.

  5. Step 5

Spell as many words as possible out of the letters shown on the screen. You can use the mouse to click and drag letters into the boxes or type the words in with your keyboard (much faster option).

  6. Step 6

Review the words you didn't spell at the end of a level. You may be able to use those same words later on another level.

  7. Step 7

Go to the next level by spelling enough words to qualify on the current level.

  8. Step 8

End the game when you can't create enough words or gain the needed points to advance to the next level.

  9. Step 9

Keep track of your score to see how well you play various Text Twist games.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to use plurals for words whenever you can.
  • The letter combinations get harder the more levels you complete.
  • Try to come up with the biggest word possible, as soon as you can, because it is often easier to see more words within an actual word, rather than within a bunch of jumbled letters.
  • Take a moment to refresh a weary brain in between levels, so you can start fresh. The level doesn't start until you click the "Start" button.
  • Use Internet Explorer to take advantage of the game's ability to remember your high score for the gaming session.
  • Press the "Twist" button under the letters to jumble the letters again.
  • Don't pay attention to the countdown clock. Focus completely on the letters.
