2 unpeeled oranges, diced, seeded and finely chopped in a blender
two 2-inch pieces fresh ginger, peeled and cut into thin slices
4 cups cranberries
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground clones
1 cup raisins
Step1
Combine the water and sugar in a deep saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring.
Step2
Add the oranges and ginger; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
Step3
Stir in the raisins and cook until big bubbles appear, about 7 minutes. Pour into a bowl and let cool. Serve or cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
