    Things You'll Need

    • Your dentures
    • toothbrush
    • toothpaste
    • glass bowl
    • liquid household bleach
    • water
      • 1

Remove your dentures. Now, with a toothbrush and regular or denture toothpaste, brush them for a good 2 to 3 minutes and rinse. This will remove loose food particles and debris.

      • 2

Turn your water on hot and let it run until it gets very hot.

      • 3

Put your dentures in a glass bowl and fill it with enough very hot water to fully cover your dentures.

      • 4

Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of liquid household bleach to the bowl and leave them alone to soak for a good 5 to 7 minutes.

      • 5

Turn on your warm water and remove your dentures from the bowl. With your toothbrush, brush your dentures under the warm, running water to remove any remaining stains.

      • 6

Rinse thoroughly for a good 1 to 2 minutes.

      • 7

Now for fresh taste and breath, apply a dab of toothpaste to your brush and re-brush your dentures. This is also the time to brush your tongue and gums.

Slap those puppies back in your mouth and you're good-to-go!

    Tips & Warnings

    • While your dentures are soaking in the mixture of water and bleach, take this opportunity to wash your face, pluck your eyebrows or clean your ears.

    • Keep your dentures looking like new by repeating this process once every 3 to 4 weeks.

    • Be sure to brush and rinse your dentures THOROUGHLY after soaking them with the bleach!
