How to escape from a bad date

It is a popualr technique used by women to get out of a date going horribly downhill, so popular this method, it was even on an episode of Sex and the City. It's a bit challenging because you are trying not to get caught and kind of hard to pull off right.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • A good friend with a cell phone.
  • Your own cell phone.
  • Any kind of excuse.
Step1
Before going out on your date, have a good friend willing to help you out, let him or her know what are your plans for the day or evening, and to be ready to help you out of a bad date.
Step2
Next step is to have a good alibi ready to give an excuse that you must leave and have to cut the date short, like a "family emergency", or "something came up at work" and you must get home as soon as possible.
Step3
When out in the date, and things are going bad, excuse yourself to go to the restroom, so you have privacy to call your friend and tell him/her to give you a call in 5 minutes saying it's a emergency and you must get home.
Step4
When your friend calls, answer the phone, act kind of shocked (but don't overact), then tell your date that you must go and that you are sorry that you have to cut your date short. Hopefully your date will understand, but if he or she persist to help you out, tell them thank you very much but it is a private matter that must be taken care of. Give your date a thank you, then go home or hang out with your friend.

Tips & Warnings

  • This is a just for fun how to. I never really done this, it's just something that I knew of.
  • If you really want to try this, then I wish you success.

on 3/19/2008 Sadly, I've been known to just cut the conversation off mid-date and say "It's not gonna work." That seems to do the trick too!
