This recipe is a healthy, vegetarian alternative to traditional collard green recipes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • collard greens (bunches or prepared bags will work
  • olive oil
  • Bragg's Liquid Amino Acids
  1. Step 1

Rinse greens in cold water and shred by hand into pieces. If greens are already washed and shredded, rinse in cold water. Pat greens dry on paper towels.

  2. Step 2

In a large skillet on medium, heat one tablespoon of olive oil.

  3. Step 3

Once oil is hot, place greens in oil in small batches and sprinkle with Bragg's Liquid Aminos. Toss greens in oil mixture with tongs. Cook greens about 10 minutes until wilted, but still bright green and crisp. Serve hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep a watchful eye on the greens so that they don't overcook.
  • Taste your greens each time you add the Bragg's Liquid Aminos. Bragg's adds flavor to this dish and too much can be overwhelming.

on 5/7/2008 I cooked my collard greens according to your recipe last night and everyone who ate them said they were the best they ever had! I LOVE your cooking method! The greens stayed a deep, gorgeous green and had a very snappy, delicious, hearty flavor. I could just feel the vitamins and minerals seeping into my body as I ate them. Thank you again. 5 stars!

on 5/6/2008 I'm about to cook collard greens for the first time, and your recipe appeals to me much more than the ones which include all kinds of smoked meat products, which give me migraines. And I absolutely LOVE Bragg's Liquid Aminos! Thanks! 5 stars!
