When you are trying to take a picture that has both bright objects and dark objects, many times the picture ends up without any detail on the dark object. Sometimes, you will notice that your photo subject will end up looking like a silhouette. To compensate, follow these steps so that your dark objects contain more detail.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • digital camera
  • a little patience
  1. Step 1

    Once you have determined the scene you want to take, place your focus on the darker image.

  2. Step 2

    Now press your button down halfway to indicate to the camera that your want it to focus on that dark object.

  3. Step 3

    Now without lifting your finger move your camera manually to look at the whole scene, the light object included and press the button all the way down.

  4. Step 4

    Now check it out - hopefully you will get the result you hoped for.
