Step 1
To play any kind of new video file you need the proper coded.
Go To:
http://www.cccp-project.net/ -
Step 2
Click on "Windows Vista/XP/2K" under the the word Download.
Click on "Save" and the download should start. -
Step 3
After the file is done downloading click on the .exe file and follow the easy install rules.

Step 4
When finished installing right-click on the .mkv file you would like to play. The click "Open With" and choose "Zoom Player."

on 6/29/2009 well actually I think Moovida is better, you don't have to mess around with all those codecs and stuff like that. You just download and install the player and play your file :)

It arranges all your music,videos,Tv shows ect Yhat are on your computer.
Adding the correct art work with a simple user interface & loads more to offer. Any yes it plays .MKV files :)
