Things You'll Need:
- Clean dry cloth for dusting
-
Step 1
Arrange your furniture away from any heaters or radiators. Put at least 2 feet between any sources of heat and the furniture.
-
Step 2
Protect your non-pigmented leather furniture from the pets. Non-pigmented furniture is especially vulnerable to claw scratches and dirt brought in by pets.
-
Step 3
Keep your furniture out of direct sunlight. This is especially important when caring for non-pigmented leather because the sunlight will fade and wear the leather.
-
Step 4
Dust your leather with a dry cloth once a week.
-
Step 5
Remove stains as soon as possible. Stain removal for non-pigmented leather is tricky. If you get a food stain on the leather, gently wipe the surface with a dry cloth without pushing the food or stain further into the leather. After you've wiped off as much as you can, leave it. The spot will absorb into the leather over time.
