Bring in the New Year with tons of confetti. New Year's Party Wands are a popular party favor with both kids and adults. Wave these wands to start off your New Year. The following steps will show you how to make one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty paper towel tube
  • Clear packing tape
  • Scotch tape
  • Markers
  • Glitter
  • Stickers
  1. Step 1

Take an empty paper towel tube and cover one end with clear packing tape.

  2. Step 2

Cover the outside of the tube with 2 pieces of construction paper. Tape 1 piece of construction paper on one end of the tube with clear scotch tape and tape the other on top of the first piece until the entire tube is covered. Tape the seam all the way around.

  3. Step 3

Color the tube with markers. You can draw stripes and other patterns. Use glitter and stickers if you want to fancy up your party wand.

  4. Step 4

Fill up the party favor tube with as much confetti as you can.

  5. Step 5

Take a piece of paper and crumble it up into a ball. Place the wad of paper inside the open end of the tube to keep the confetti inside the tube.

  6. Step 6

Remove the wad of paper shortly before midnight.

  7. Step 7

Wave your party wand into the air to create an explosion of confetti when the clock strikes midnight.
