How to Add Pictures to Ravelry

Part of the fun of joining the online community at Ravelry is adding pictures of your knitting or crochet projects and all the yarn in your stash. Pictures can be easily added to Ravelry with a Flickr account. In just a few steps, you'll have all the pictures that you want to share on the site for all your friends and the rest of the Ravelry community to see.

        Log in to your Flickr account and add the pictures that you want to add to Ravelry.

        Log in to Ravelry and go you your projects or stash. This page is under the "My Notebook" tab on the left hand side of the page.

        Pick the project that you want to add the pictures to. Click on that project to see the project details.

        Click on the "Pictures" tab on the right hand side of the page. This will take you to a page that will allow you to drop pictures into spaces for your project.

        On the pictures page, there is a space under that main section of the pictures where a Flickr account can be accessed. On the right hand corner of this box is a tab marked "Flickr Importer," click this tab. This tab will allow you to link your Flickr account to your Ravelry account. This makes importing pictures to Ravelry must simpler.

        Log on to your Flickr account through Ravelry. All pictures that you want to add to Ravelry will now be shown on the Ravelry pictures page.

        Drag a picture from the Flickr area of the page and pull it to one of the blank picture boxes provided by Ravelry. Release the picture and it will automatically be placed in the box.

        Hover the cursor over the picture and a green arrow box will show up in the bottom right hand corner of the picture. Clicking and holding on this box will allow you to move the picture around so that you can center the thumbnail version of the picture.

        Click on the "Details" tab on the right hand corner of the page and click save. You have now added picture to your Ravelry project. Repeat these steps to add pictures to all your projects and stash items for all Ravelry-ers to see and enjoy.
