There's a lot of luck involved in fantasy football, as players who play the games in real life dictate how well you do. Some say it's a lot like predicting the future. But with some planning, preparation and diligence, you can take luck out of the equation and win your fantasy league.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Start early. Winning in the fantasy playoffs takes good preparation in the draft. Pay attention to the NFL schedule at the end of the season. By taking players that will have favorable match-ups during the fantasy playoffs weeks, you can give yourself an advantage when it counts.
Step2
Pay close attention to injury news and all the breaking news around the NFL throughout the season. Pay especially close attention to those players who come out of nowhere and dominate so you can grab them and put them on your roster before your competitors get a chance. This way, you can have the deck stacked in your favor by the time the playoffs roll around.
Step3
Spend all day Sunday near your computer so you can give yourself the best possible lineup to win. Also pay close attention at game time Monday and the occasional Thursday and Saturday. Game-time decisions can kill a fantasy team. If you're always ready to make a last-minute change, you'll have a leg up on your competition.
Step4
Make sure you have good depth if you have a lot of players on elite teams. At the end of the NFL season, teams who have already clinched playoff spots may choose to rest their stars and that's a big disadvantage to fantasy teams. If you've prepared for it, however, you can still go in with a strong team even though you have a big name or two sitting on the bench.
