How to Find a Three Kings Day Parade

Three Kings Day isn't a widely celebrated element of the Christmas season, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth celebrating, especially if it is a large part of your church festivities or cultural celebrations. If you'd like to join the festivities, here are a few things you can do to find Three Kings Day parades where you live.

1. Ask around your church. If you worship in a Christian community, you will have the best luck finding a Three Kings Day parade locally simply by asking people who might know. If other members of your community celebrate Three Kings Day as well, ask for their direction as far as where parades are located, and which ones are the best.
2. Check your local paper. If your local church community is at a loss, branch out into the larger community around you. Different communities might celebrate Three Kings Day as well, and they will often advertise parades and celebrations in your local paper. Check your local activity boards in all of the local publications.
3. Look online. Often, you can look up local papers for different neighboring communities that should have lists of activities. If there are parades near you, in nearby cities, you can access their activity boards online.
4. Start your own parade. If you are having no luck finding any Three Kings Day parades and aren't interested in traveling for long distances just to see one, consider petitioning to the members of your church community to have one this season. Arrange floats or build them yourself, and have members of your church dress in costume. Enlist your choir or local marching band to take part. Nothing brings your community together better than a celebration.
