AntiStudy is a website containing a database of free study guides on the Web. The service it provides is invaluable to students who often find they have far more work than time. The service is provided for free and is paid for through advertising and "click referrals" with its partners.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Log onto the Internet and visit the AntiStudy website (see Resources below).
Step2
Look over the homepage. At the top is a search box as well as a series of letters; both of these areas link to the study guides. The page also contains other sections detailing the site, popular study guides and AntiStudy's partners.
Step3
Type the name of the book you would like a guide for into the search box. Alternately, you can select the letter or letter range that your book's title begins with and find it on the list provided.
Step4
Scan over the list provided for your book. Some books will have many options, but others will have just one or two. Sites such as SparkNotes, BookRags or CliffsNotes often have the most comprehensive guides.
Step5
Read the guides from multiple sites. The various study guide sites will have a lot of overlap, but there often are areas where one guide will be more complete than others.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some of the sites may have offers to buy a downloadable PDF or have an actual book sent to you. While these study guides typically cost money, there should be a free version available as well.
  • No matter how complete a study guide may be, it is no substitute for reading the actual text. Study guides should be used in conjunction with the text--not instead of it.
