How to Decorate a Classroom for Spring

Springtime is an exciting time of the year. It is a time that signals new birth, warmer weathers, and spring break for many students. Many teachers like to decorate their classrooms to welcome the spring season. A classroom decorated in a spring theme will help get students ready and thinking about spring.

Instructions

    • 1

Create a bulletin board with a spring theme. You can include pictures of flowers, animals and the sunshine. The bulletin board should be decorated with bright spring colors such as pink, green, red, blue, and yellow. Stay away from dark colors. Put a nice spring-related border around the bulletin board.

    • 2

Complete some spring art projects with the students and hang samples of the students' art work on the walls. Have the students create some art projects that pertain to spring such as making paper flowers, drawing a spring picture or even writing an essay on what they like to do in the spring.

    • 3

Place some fresh flowers on your desk. Fresh, pretty flowers are a great way to bring "real" spring into the classroom and they add a lot of nice color to the room as well.

    • 4

Make some name tags that look like flowers for the students to tape to their desk. This will help students remember which desk belongs to them and it will also give them something spring related to look at while they are sitting in their desks.

    • 5

Include some Easter decorations because many students will associate spring with Easter time.
