Flower pounding can turn any plain card stock paper into beautiful stationary you will be proud to send. You can use any flower for this craft, but some work better than others. The following will show you how to make beautiful stationary with flower pounding.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pick fresh flowers you would like on your stationary. The flowers that work the best for flower pounding are geraniums, impatiens and pansies.

  2. Step 2

Choose a nice absorbent paper to do your flower pounding on. Card stock is preferable.

  3. Step 3

Lay the flowers face down onto the paper. Place them around the edge as a border so you can write a letter in the middle of the paper. Give yourself plenty of room for the letter.

  4. Step 4

Place a sheet of clear plastic wrap over your flower arrangement. You will have to lay it carefully, so as not to disturb the flower pattern.

  5. Step 5

Place a few pieces of masking tape around the plastic wrap on the table to avoid slipping as you use the mallet.

  6. Step 6

Hit the flowers very gently with the rubber mallet. If you don't have a rubber mallet, a regular hammer will do, but hit softly and carefully with it. Make sure to hit all of the flower or the area you miss will not show up on the paper.

  7. Step 7

Remove the clear plastic wrap and take the flowers off the stationary. You will have an imprint of flowers on your paper.
