How to Play UNO on Xbox Arcade

UNO is a classic family card game that is simple to learn and fun to play. Compete against three opponents trying to match colors and numbers on the cards to be the first to get rid of all your cards. Enjoy all the command cards, wilds and reverses of UNO. Xbox LIVE adds a new dimension allowing players to use their vision camera to see their opponents as they play.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin the game with seven random cards. There will be one card on the center of the screen and whoever goes first must select a card that matches the first card's color or number/symbol to play.

    • 2

Wait for your controller to vibrate signaling it is your turn. If one or more of your cards is pulled slightly out from the rest and highlighted, it is playable. Choose which of these cards you wish to play and press "A."

    • 3

Press "B" if you are unable to make a move to draw a card. If you draw a card that is playable, it will be played automatically.

    • 4

Play a wild card when you have nothing else to play or need to change the color of cards being played. After pressing "A" to play the wild card, you are given a chance to select what color you want the wild to be. Press the direction corresponding to the chart shown on your screen then press "A" to choose the color. For example, if the top of the chart is red, press up on the left analog stick then press "A" to select red.

    • 5

Use the "reverse" card, which shows two arrows, to switch the direction of turns. If the game was moving clockwise between players, it now goes counter clockwise or vice versa.

    • 6

Utilize the "skip" card to make the person after you lose a turn. Play the "draw two" card to make the next person lose a turn and draw two cards.

    • 7

Push the "X" button to call out "UNO" as soon as you only have one card left. Win the round by playing all of your cards first.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can customize the rules of the game and download additional card decks.

  • If you feel an opponent laid a wild draw four card and set it to a color they don't have press "Y" to challenge their call. If you are right they have to draw six cards, if you are wrong you have to draw six.

  • Don't forget to call out UNO with "X" because if an opponent notices and presses "Y" before you do they will force you to draw two cards.
