How to Play Spyglass Board Games

Spyglass Board Games is an Xbox LIVE arcade game that allows players to play any of four classic board games: Chess, Checkers, Reversi (also known as Othello) and Mancala. Each of these games features high definition graphics and animated pieces. Play online to challenge the world to a game and test your wit and strategy against theirs.

Instructions

1. Select either single or multiplayer. Play with an opponent on your Xbox or with opponents worldwide via Xbox LIVE.

2. Choose to play either Chess, Checkers, Reversi or Mancala. Press "X" to switch to a different game.

3. Move the cursor with the left analog stick. Press the "A" button to select a piece and "B" to deselect it. Use the right analog stick to rotate your view of the board

4. Look at the spaces with a green dot displayed to know what the possible moves are when playing Chess, Checkers and Reversi.

5. Read the games instructions in the help menu if you are unfamiliar with the detailed rules of each game. Each game follows the same rules as the classic board game.

6. Change the visuals in the game and the animation speeds in the settings menu. This allows you to personalize the look of your pieces, boards and backgrounds. Spyglass may offer downloads where you can purchase more options for a small fee in the future.

Tips & Warnings

• Raise your rank in the leader boards by keeping your wins-to-losses ratio high.
• Turn on your Xbox vision camera to video chat with your opponent while you play. This adds a whole new dimension to the game, making it more enjoyable.
• Pull either trigger when playing online to make your opponent's controller vibrate as a reminder when his turn is up.
