Joust is an arcade classic that pits the player against waves of jousting enemies. Each unit is on a flying pterodactyl and can kill you by hitting you from above. The highest jouster always wins. Fight off faster enemies as the game progresses and see how far you can get in this revamped classic.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Control your characters movement left and right with the left analog stick. Pressing the "A" button causes your pterodactyl to flap its wings. Less flapping and you descend; more flapping and you ascend.

  2. Step 2

Move off the left side of the screen and you appear on the right. Use this knowledge to try and ambush enemies so you can defeat them.

  3. Step 3

Defeat an enemy by ramming them with your character from a higher altitude. The higher lance always wins the joust.

  4. Step 4

Collect the eggs that come from defeated opponents before they hatch into more aggressive enemies.

  5. Step 5

Watch the bar on the bottom of your screen showing your score and how many lives you have left. Run out of lives and the game ends. Try to score as many points as possible before the game ends.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can simply flutter down and land on an enemy from above to kill them you do not have to hit them with speed, just an altitude advantage.
  • Earn an extra life every 20,000 points to prolong game play.
  • Play versus-style games to compete against a human opponent. Survive longer than your opponent and win the match. Co-op play is also available where two players work together to eliminate the enemy threat.
  • Your character dies if it falls into the lava.
  • Don't get too close to the lava. A creature lives in the lava that will kill you if it reaches up and grabs you.
