Flag football is a variation of tackle football. While it can be equally as enjoyable, it's a much safer version of the game. You'll find flag football leagues for adults and children.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide what kind of flag football league you want. If it's a league for your child, decide whether you want the league to be gender specific or not. If it's a league for an adult, decide which kind of league you want to play in. Flag football leagues can be 4-on-4, 5-on-5, 6-on-6, 7-on-7 or 8-on-8.

  2. Step 2

Visit the official website of the United States Flag & Touch Football League. On this website, you can find leagues in your area. Click the "USFTL Sanctioned Leagues" link in the left-hand navigational panel. On the subsequent page, you'll find a series of leagues separated by state.

  3. Step 3

Look at the Sportsvite website to look for flag football leagues in your area. Click on the "Leagues" link in the upper part of the website. On the next page, you'll see leagues separated by cities.

  4. Step 4

Check in your local yellow pages for flag football league listings. You can usually find these leagues under the "Sports" listing on the yellow pages. A number of cities have city run flag football leagues for both adults and children.

  5. Step 5

Complete the necessary paperwork to register for the flag football team you have found. You usually have to sign an injury waiver to join a flag football league. You should be given information on how to contact your teammates.
