How to Get a Child or Teen into Private School in Sims 2

In the Sims 2 computer game, many families decide to move their child out of the Sim City public school system. A Sim child or teen who is in private school is happier and has a greater chance of skill rewards from good school performance. However, the Sims must persuade the Headmaster to accept their child into the school. Getting a Sim child or teen into private school is hard work, but here are some steps to help you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

1. Determine that at least 1 child in your home has a grade average of C or better. Direct that child to the phone and select "Invite Headmaster."
2. Have one of your Sims greet the Headmaster, as he will arrive at 5 p.m. on the dot. From the time your Sim shakes the Headmaster's hand, you have six Sim hours to complete the scenario. This involves scoring at least 100 points on the impression scale.
3. Serve a nice dinner. Make sure you have a Sim with a cooking skill of at least 5 serve the meal. Then click on the Headmaster and select "Entertain" and "Call for Dinner." The Headmaster will taste the food, and you'll earn points based on how much he likes it.
4. Give the Headmaster a tour of your home. Make sure the house is clean. Click on the Headmaster and select "Entertain" and "Give Tour." Direct the Sim to go to a room with a high environment score, and the Headmaster will follow. Click on him and select "Show Room." He will give you points based on how much he likes the room. Repeat this step for up to 3 more rooms.
5. Interact with the Headmaster. The more fun he has and the more his relationship score improves with the Sims in the house, the more points he will award for "schmoozing."
6. Rack up extra points by serving coffee, serving drinks from the bar or getting the Headmaster into the hot tub. These 3 actions will score 10 points apiece, but they can only be done once during the scenario.
7. Score 100 points within the time allotted and you have won the scenario. Your Sim will be told by the Headmaster that his offspring have been accepted into private school.

Tips & Warnings

• When the Headmaster arrives at your Sim's house, have a Sim greet him by 6 p.m. If he is not greeted soon enough, the Headmaster will leave, and you will not be able to begin the scenario.
• Splurge on some items for your home to raise the environment score. You don't have to keep the items; sell them back after the Headmaster leaves.
