    Take public transportation to the National Geographic Museum. The museum is located in the heart of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Street parking is limited and many parking garages are pricey. Many visitors find it easier to travel by public transportation to Explorers Hall.

    Visit any day of the year besides December 25. The museum welcomes visitors all year round and does not charge admission to view their exhibits.

  3. Step 3

    Learn about the current crises in our world. The museum provides information to visitors about animal and people that are suffering throughout the world. This gives guests a chance to become more socially aware.
