1
Find a show to participate in. There are several organizations that organize and manage crafts shows, many of which travel across the country or within a local region. However, local media outlets usually advertise local events in advance.
-
2
Read the rules and regulations. Once you've signed on and paid the fee to be a vendor at a crafts show you will be given a rules booklet. Be sure to read these and follow them so that you will be invited back to the next show. It is also a good idea to get a receipt and a contact name in case there is any problem the day of the show.

3
Be prepared. Always bring more than the product inventory you intend to sale. You want to be well prepared for anything that a customer may ask for.
-
4
Create a unique display. Be creative with your booth and do not over clutter it. You may want to choose a theme for your booth design. Display your merchandise in a way that will invite customers to try, feel and/or sample your product.
-
5
Display to relate. Display your merchandise so that it will relate to the customers. If you are selling clothing items, use mannequins or wear the clothes yourself. If selling pottery, use and display the items with flowers and arrangements.

6
Be courteous to other vendors. Do not have overflow cluttering another vendor's space and do not block the view of other vendors' booths as customers walk the aisles.
