Car lovers like speed, torque and horsepower. If you have a Jeep Wrangler and want to add more horsepower these elements are crucial to making a car go faster. Performance chips plug into the main computer and require programming.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Search online for performance chips for Wranglers to add horsepower. The performance chips come in three different stages to fit your performance. Programming can be done at a Jeep dealership or almost any off-roading sales store.
Step2
Visit a muffler shop or search online to find an aftermarket exhaust, preferably Flowmaster, as it yields the best results. Dynatech is also a good brand for adding horsepower to your Jeep Wrangler with an aftermarket exhaust system.
Step3
Buy a K&N air filter for your Jeep Wrangler to increase it's air intake. Find an authorized dealer online or in the neighborhood parts store, see Resources below.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are unsure about making the adjustments to the Wrangler, seek out assistance from a professional.
