How to Move a Garden Shed
A garden shed may require being moved if the location it is sitting has a drainage problem or if you want it in a different spot. If the shed is small enough, you can move it with the help of friends or by using a vehicle to pull it to the new location. All it takes is a few simple steps to move a garden shed. Place jacks under all four corners of the shed. If necessary, dig under the building to gain access to the corners.

Stabilize the walls inside the shed by attaching the studs to a long piece of wood.

Square up the shed by placing long pieces of wood in an X-formation on the bottom of the inside of the shed. This will make the shed sturdier.

Attach a towing hook to the two front corners of the outside of the shed. Attach the other end to the back of a vehicle.

Pull the shed to its new location where you want it to sit. Slide the shed up onto a wood flooring if you like. Remove the cross braces. You are now ready to use the shed.

Tips & Warnings
If you have enough people to help, you can put the shed on the back of a pickup truck and move it to the new destination.
If you move the shed again, be sure to attach another cross brace to the bottom.
Keep the speed steady when pulling the shed so that you don't damage the shed.
If moving the shed manually, be sure to use proper body mechanics so no one hurts their back.
