Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Act quickly. Immediately start looking for your child in the area they where you last saw him. Call your child's name. Most children will come running when they are called, especially if they are scared because they can't find you.
Step2
Stay calm. If you get too stressed, you won't be able to think clearly and may even forget important details like what your child is wearing.
Step3
Get help from a shopping mall employee. Security guards and store personnel can help you search for your lost child. Tell them what your child is wearing. Show them a recent picture if you have one with you. This will make it easier for them to spot your child.
Step4
Call the police if you are unable to locate your child. When a child is lost, time is critical.
Step5
Prevent it from happening again by teaching your child not to wander off at the shopping mall. Teach him to immediately go to a store employee or security guard if you get separated.
Step6
Bring another adult with you on future shopping trips to keep an eye on your child while you shop.
