1. End the relationship immediately if you start to notice signs of physical or emotional abuse. Abuse of any kind is a definite sign that your boyfriend is a loser. A loser will try to break down your self esteem so you feel like he is the only guy that will ever love you. There is no excuse for abuse.
2. Spend time away from your boyfriend and see what he does. If he calls you compulsively, he is insecure. A loser is not comfortable when his girlfriend has her own life. He will check up on you all the time to make sure you still care about him.
3. Evaluate his behavior. Run if he tells you he loves you after a few weeks of dating. When a guy tells you he loves you so quickly it may seem romantic, but it should set off alarms in your head. A guy who attaches himself to people quickly will detach just as quickly.
4. Listen for comments that encourage you to distance yourself from your friends and family. A loser does this so he has more control over you by cutting off your support system. This guarantees that you won't have any outside input about his behavior.
5. Consider if he shares dating expenses. Make him pay for things too. A loser tends to make his girlfriend pay for everything.
