1. Research Mexican websites (see Resources below) where you will find not only vacation rentals, but also activities, restaurants, maps and travel discount deals for you to enjoy while on vacation.
2. Know the booking and deposit waiting times. Vacation homes in Mexico should be booked at least five months earlier, and you pay a deposit to the owner to hold the reservation. To book a home for the summer in Mexico, reserve a year in advance.
3. Ask your friends and family how they book their vacation homes in Mexico each year. They might be able to offer you some helpful opinions and advice to get you packing and on your way towards a tropical summer or winter vacation.
