How to Make Spider Webs for a Doll House

Decorating your doll house is a great creative outlet. You get to decide the style of design you want, buy furniture and accessories to compliment your rooms. While buying items for your miniature home is fun, making your own miniature items allows you the opportunity to personalize your doll house. One item you can make is spider webs to put in the attic or to decorate for a Halloween theme.

Things You'll Need

• Wax paper
• White glue
• Scissors
• Grey thread

Instructions

1. Pour some small globs of white glue, such as Elmer's glue, onto a piece of wax paper and spread it into a cobweb shape.

2. Cut the gray thread into small pieces and place the thread in a crisscross pattern to make it look like a spider web. You can sprinkle some glitter on the webs to make them sparkle and to add some spooky interest.

3. Allow the glue to dry on the wax paper.

4. Peel the dried glue off the wax paper and hang your spider webs in the doll house.

Tips & Warnings

• Be sure to put your hand made doll house spider webs out of reach of pets and children so they don't get harmed during the drying process.

• Before making your spider webs decide where you want to put them so you can estimate the sizes and shapes you will need.

• If you have young children who put items into their mouths be sure to put the doll house in an area that is out of their reach. The doll house miniatures can be choking hazards.
