Dollhousing has become a very popular hobby. Adults and children alike can find great joy and satisfaction attending to their dollhouses. Furnishing your home can be an expensive project. Decorating your dollhouse with home made items instead of store bought miniatures can help decrease your expenses and increase the fun. One such item that you can make is a flower arrangement for your dollhouse.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Small lid or miniature vase
  • Elmer's glue
  • Coffee grounds
  • Miniature flowers
  • Green marker (optional)
Step1
Find a small container to be your vase. You can use pre-made miniature bowls, vases, or baskets to make a flower arrangement for your dollhouse. You can also make your own vase by using the caps of a small container such as a toothpaste lid.
Step2
Fill the tiny container with white glue such as Elmer's Glue.
Step3
Sprinkle the glue with coffee grounds to make it look like dirt. You can also sprinkle real dirt on top instead of using coffee grounds.
Step4
Place your miniature flowers in the glue. You can also make your own flowers by breaking up toothpicks, coloring the picks green, and gluing hand drawn or magazine cutout flowers to the tooth picks.
Step5
Allow your miniature flower arrangement to dry then find the perfect spot for them in your dollhouse.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to put your dollhouse flower arrangement miniature out of reach of pets and children so that it doesn't get harmed during the drying process.
  • If you have young children who put items in their mouth be sure to put the dollhouse in an area that is out of reach. The dollhouse miniatures can be choking hazards.
