Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a playing strategy and stick with it. Finding all the words in one spot before moving on isn't necessarily better than scanning the board freely. Pick a method with which you're comfortable.

  2. Step 2

Take a few moments at the beginning of each game to scan the board for common prefixes and suffixes. These can come in handy when you're trying to find enough letters to make an eight-letter word.

  3. Step 3

Locate all of the "S's" on the board and make a conscious effort to use them in making plurals of every word that you find. This is one thing that new players often over look, but it's critical to racking up extremely high scores.

  4. Step 4

Focus on a new part of the board if you're stuck in another and can't make any new words.

  5. Step 5

Remember that you can usually make new words by simply reversing or scrambling ones you've already found.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a habit of reading through the dictionary and writing down unusual words you're fond of or feel that you can remember. The rarer the word, the less likely it is that someone else will find it during a game.
  • Improve your scanning and scrambling abilities by playing as much Boggle as you can online or against a computer program.
