The Knot is the ultimate site for any girl who is planning her wedding. You can find advice on wedding etiquette, seating arrangements, gift giving and much more. For personalized wedding information and to use the site tools, you need to create a free account.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Click on the "Join Free" icon at the top of the Knot homepage. It leads you to a registration page that needs to be completed in order to set up your account.
Step2
Fill out all fields on the registration form unless it states that the field is optional. The Knot wants to know about you, your fiancée, your wedding date and any other information that applies to your wedding.
Step3
Set your email preferences. You can opt to receive the Knot newsletter as well as special deals on wedding related products. They can also notify you of sample sales.
Step4
Go through the additional offers. Before your account is set up, you have to read through a list of advertisements and let the Knot know if you are interested in any of them. Click "No Thanks" if you don't want any of them.
Step5
Complete your profile and wedding page. Your profile page has information about your wedding, photos and a guestbook for visitors to sign.
Step6
Get a free magazine subscription to the Nest magazine. After you have registered with the site, you get the Knot sponsored magazine in the mail for a free trial.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Knot has two affiliate sites. The Nest caters to couples who are living together; the Nest Baby caters to couples planning to have a baby.
  • The Knot wants to know what stage of wedding planning you are at presently. You should indicate if you are just starting your planning or almost done.
