An erotic birthday card is a personal and exciting way to wish someone a happy birthday. By associating sexuality with a birthday, you provide an interesting outlook on aging. Also, erotic birthday cards, if done well, are a hot novelty item that will fly off store shelves. So, follow these steps to make an erotic birthday card to give to someone you know or to make some extra money.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Consider the recipient. Even if you don't know exactly who will be receiving the card, thinking about what kind of person (their age, martial status and preferences) will help you have shape to the card. From the lewd to the classy, the modern to the vintage, considering the card's reader goes a long way in helping you make the right erotic birthday card.

  2. Step 2

Use literature to formulate the text. Writing erotic poetry, literature or words of any kind is very difficult. Using quotes from erotic literature notables such as Anais Nin, George Bataille or Henry Miller will add an element of the erotic classic to the card, making it arousing and erudite at the same time.

  3. Step 3

Play with photographs. With erotic content, a picture speaks at least a thousand words, and probably more. You can choose from many kinds of photographs from public domain vintage nudes to personal digital pictures taken not so long ago. Use Photoshop or other digital photograph enhancers to add effects and correctly size the photographs for card printing.

  4. Step 4

Pay attention to the printing. Unless you have experience with card printing, your best bet is to find a local printer. A printer can advise you on typesetting, card stock and other effects that will make your erotic birthday card into a professional looking piece of ephemera. If you don't want to go to a printer, then buy high quality card stock that your home digital printer can handle to make the best looking card possible.
