How to Jump Rope Figure Eight Style

Choose a jump rope that fits your height. To determine if your rope is the correct length hold the middle of the rope with your foot while pulling the handles up tight. The handles should come up to the middle of your chest.

Stand with your feet shoulder width apart holding your rope in front of you to get ready for jumping rope figure eight style.

Place one end of the rope in each hand with your thumbs facing upward.

Press your elbows into your side and pull your hands up to waist level.

Swing the rope from side to side in a figure eight pattern without jumping through it.
