Many of us would like to not only save money, but to live a less stressful life. We sing the virtues of simplifying, announcing that "less is more," but often find it difficult to implement that simplicity to our everyday lives. There are many areas of life where you will find that simplicity will lead nearly automatically to saving money.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Make a menu to save money on food. Use the menu to write a shopping list and stick to your list when you visit the grocery store. This will have two positive results, you will save money at the till, and you will simplify the evening routine of deciding what to make for supper.
Step2
Buy one multi-purpose house cleaning product, rather than multiple cleaners for different jobs. This will simplify your cleaning routines, make more space in your cleaning cupboard and save money that you can use for other purposes.
Step3
Wait to wash your laundry or dishes until you have a full load. This will save money on your water and energy bills, and will also streamline and simplify your everyday chores.
Step4
Hang your clothes outside to dry, when the weather permits. This will save money on your electricity bill and give you time to stand outside, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine while you're doing your chores.
Step5
Simplify your holiday celebrations. Whether you choose to buy fewer presents, make gifts or carefully re-gift, you can save money and celebrate an old-fashioned holiday with your family and friends.
