The D-Link company is a common vendor of networking supplies including routers and network cards. Although you can buy D-Link products in electronics stores across the country, it makes sense to purchase products right through the manufacturer; even if you do go to the store to buy D-link routers, the following ideas still apply.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the D-link corporate site and select "Products."

  2. Step 2

Clicking on "Wireless Networking" will show you a wide range of D-Link routers. You can also click on "3G Mobile Routers" to view another product line.

  3. Step 3

Click on a specific model to view product features and descriptions.

  4. Step 4

Browse through the product tabs labeled Product Specs, Product Images and Product Diagrams to see more information about the router model.

  5. Step 5

Evaluate the information according to what you need in terms of range and power.

  6. Step 6

Read reviews. D-Link offers a series of reviews labeled "Expert's Opinions" on the far left of the product page. Here you can see reviews of the model and decide if it is the right one for you.

  7. Step 7

When you have made your decision, you can use D-Link's shopping cart system to purchase with a credit card. Follow prompts on the site to buy the router. You can also look at other vendors using the Online Vendors button.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use D-Link's Store FAQ to see how to request a refund, for questions on accounts and orders and for shipping information. The site walks you through how to get a refund and other procedures that may be relevant to your purchase.
