At colleges and universities around the country, flag football is one of the most popular intramural sports. The process to register to play intramural flag football isn't difficult as long as you know the correct steps to take.

  1. Step 1

    Decide what kind of intramural flag football you wish to play. The two most common types of flag football options are gender specific flag football and co-ed flag football. Obviously, gender specific flag football is catered to the individual genders, while co-ed flag football plays with both genders.

  2. Step 2

    Find the department in charge of intramural sports. You can find this information at the student information center of your college or university. Sometimes, the student information center itself is in charge of intramural sports. Other times, it's under the jurisdiction of the athletic department. You can also opt to look for this information on you website of your college or university.

  3. Step 3

    Select the team you wish to join, and complete the registration. Typically, you need to sign an injury waiver to play intramural sports. There may also be other paperwork you need to fill out. Additionally, you may be required to pay a fee to play an intramural sport.

  4. Step 4

    Contact the team captain who is in charge of organizing your flag football team. In most cases, your team captain gives you a practice schedule for your team. At the practices, you meet your teammates and begin playing flag football.
