1. Identify your make and model of chain saw. You will need this information so you get the correct tip stabilizer for your chain saw. Contact the dealer for the most compatible part for your saw.

2. Read all the manufacturer's directions before proceeding. Make sure your chain is adjusted to the proper tension before installing your tip stabilizer.

3. Mount the base plate as directed by the manufacturer's directions to the chain saw guide bar. This will be added to the end of the guide bar usually attached with a bolt. Adding the base plate gives you the ability to take the tip stabilizer on and off quickly.
